27th May – 3rd June 2017 | Kymi, S. Evoia, Greece
Get away from it all for a week of sun, sea and yoga on one of the most beautiful places on the planet!
Move The Yolga Way, in partnership with Wild Yogi, are taking you to Evoia, the second largest island in Greece, to the No 1 resort, only a few steps from the therapeutic waters of the Aegean sea. We’ll spend a week full of sun, sea, yoga, acro yoga, local food, dance and leave with a wide smile and light soul. Come with us!
What we’ll do during our stay
Kymi or “Balcony of the Aegean” as it is otherwise known, is on the island of Evoia, the second largest island in Greece. It is a well-hidden gem, with rich cultural history and therapeutic energy. The city is up in the mountains not far away from the port close to where we’ll be staying. The sea water is crystal clear and the only commercial boat coming in and out of the port is the one going to Skyros, the closest island.
We will officially start in the afternoon of May 28th and say good bye midday June 4th. You can take advantage of the whole week or you can choose a slightly shorter option. The minimum stay is 5 nights and you can arrive and leave any date you wish in between May 28th and June 4th.
Distance from Athens
Kymi is 2.5-3 hours from Athens. Evoia is connected to the mainland so there are a few options to reach the final destination.
Bus: there are regular, direct bus routes. From the airport, just take the X93 bus to the Liosion Bus Cental Station and get the bus to Kimi port. The ticket will cost you €18 but you will also need to buy a ticket (€1.50) for the bus that will take you from the airport to the bus station.
Cab hire: we can arrange transport directly from the airport to the hotel.
London: Many direct flights to Athens with Aegean, Ryanair and EasyJet
Birmingham: There are no direct flights but there are many connecting flights. It usually takes 5-6 hours with an hour wait between the flights.
Manchester: there are direct flight to Athens with Aegean.
The flights are not included in our package but we can advise on the various options.
We have chosen the best rated hotel on the island. Located on a hill, it oversees the Aegean Sea and is only a few meters away from the water. The premises offer many opportunities for relaxation, exploration, experimentation and the genuinely friendly staff will make sure we are always happy.
The idyllic atmosphere will encourage you to spend many relaxing moments and the large deep blue pool will offer many hours of fun and relaxation.
All our meals (rich breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner) are included in the package and prepared with love by the experienced staff of Kymi palace. The ingredients used are locally sourced, organic and we’ll get to taste many traditional dishes. The area is super rich in pretty much everything! Aromatic mountain tea, fresh fish, juicy seasonal fruit, nutritious vegetables, crunchy nuts; all sourced from local producers.
Greeks are big meat eaters and the area is rich in fresh fish but there will be options for every taste. Please let us know your dietary requirement and we’ll adjust the menu accordingly.
We will conclude the day with a glass of local wine with our dinner before we enjoy the colourful sunset.
