Physical appearance and looking fit have never been the main reasons why I practice and teach yoga and acro yoga. Yes, yoga and acro yoga do keep me fit, but to me it is so much more than this. Nevertheless, when a week back I became a mommy for the first time, I never in a million years could have imagined that 7 days after giving birth to my little boy, I would get back the body and strength I had before my pregnancy. So, I wanted to share with… read more →
Acro Yoga is a fusion of Yoga and acrobatics which attracts more and more enthusiastic yogis who want to fly and base. People who have never met one another before, find connection and practice impressive moves and sequences which many times looks like they came out of a circus performance. Is it just vanity and show off or is there something deeper that one can get out of this? I was first introduced to Acro Yoga a good few years back, got officially certified last year and started practising with… read more →
The beginning of a new year is a great opportunity to start afresh. We are already heading towards the second month of this year. Some have managed to start working towards their new set goals whilst some others have already started feeling that 2015 might not bring the change they were hoping for. New Year’s Resolution: get a kickass body! Whilst setting goals can be really helpful I am not a true believer in New Year’s Resolutions. I feel the same way about commitments starting on Monday: I will start… read more →
When we were kids we used to play a lot. We used to run, jump, hide, shout and even push one another. We weren’t scared of falling. We didn’t care whether we’d sweat. We couldn’t care less about getting our clothes dirty (mom sort of cared when she had to wash them). Nothing could stop us! Picture: my childhood has been full of games. Here, in a cycling “competition” with the neighborhood kids. Can you tell who I am? Adult life In the meantime we grew up. We are adults… read more →

I love Greece! For me it is like paradise on earth and there are always new places to visit and magical corners to discover. Plastiras Lake is one of these places that leave everyone who visit stunned. The natural beauty is breath-taking all year long and the traditional villages and friendly locals guarantee an unforgettable experience. My perception of bikes I have been riding bicycles my whole life. My home town, Karditsa, is the most innovative Greek city when it comes to bikes; everyone owns at least one, people cycle instead of driving a car, and there are riding lanes for cyclists across the whole city. My riding style is smooooooth I considered my riding quite decent as I could cycle from home to my high school in under 12 minutes…record speed! I could also ride with one hand while holding an umbrella with the other… read more →
Scene one: “Tomorrow we are having a corporate lunch out” he told me with an obvious tone of worry in his voice. “You know what? I was thinking… what if they take us to one of these fancy Italian restaurants that offer only pasta? I am doomed!” he stated in horror. So what? Everyone loves Italian, right? Actually… not that much. You see, my partner follows the Paleo Diet, therefore gluten is out of the question. Even though the tests say he is not a celiac (gluten intolerant) consuming gluten… read more →
Is there a dressing code in yoga classes? And what could possibly go wrong? You’ll be surprised as to how wardrobe accidents can leave you…quite exposed! As I was walking to work today I remembered my Karate days (I always think of strange things when I walk and I must look even more strange as I am often smiling with no obvious reason). As I envisioned myself fighting, I froze the image (I have a very vivid imagination) to the falling part. Every person training in martial arts has to learn how to fall. And there is a lot of falling flat on the floor involved. If you don’t know how to do it properly, when… read more →
